Who are we?  

Unipart Logistics is a division of Unipart Group and our contact details can be found at the end of this notice.

This website was created by Unipart to allow customers to purchase returned and refurbished products.

Unipart Logistics (“Our”, “We”, “Us”) is the data controller and is committed to protecting the rights of individuals in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and/or other relevant data protection legislation (“Data Protection Law”).

This Privacy Notice explains who we are, the personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what your legal rights are.

What is the purpose for processing your data?

We process your data to allow you, as customers, to purchase returned and refurbished products, such as mobile phones and other consumer electronics goods.

What data do we hold?

Unipart may collect and hold the following personal information, when you, the customer, provides us with personal information, such as:

  • name, surname, email address, delivery address, billing address, paypal account name, debit / credit card details, tel number (mobile or landline).

Why do we collect this data and on what legal ground(s) do we process your personal data?

Unipart collects the above information when you populate our form to purchase a product or subscribe to our newsletter. 

Unipart may process your personal data for more than one lawful basis depending on the specific purpose for which we are using your data. Please see the details about the specific legal basis we are relying on to process your personal data as set out in the table below.

Who has access to your personal data and to whom is it disclosed?

We may disclose your personal data to: 

  • The relevant Unipart employees, for the purpose of administering your purchase or your newsletter subscription;
  • Third Parties, such as the website platform, payment provider, couriers to deliver the product to you, marketing softwares and other third parties that may access transactional data where required as part of an audit.

For how long do we retain your data?

We will only retain personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it is collected. We retain your information for a range of purposes which determine the period of time for which we need to keep such information. Please see the table below for further information:

How do we protect your data?

Unipart is committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of your information. We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.  

We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions. 

Do we transfer your Personal Data outside the European Economic Area? 

Unipart will transfer your personal data outside of the EEA via the use of Third Parties such as the payment provider and the website portal. 

Therefore we put in place appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data, such  as data transfer agreements based on the applicable European Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses or other suitable data transfer mechanism to protect your personal data when transferred. In addition, we also carry out due diligence and audits on such Third Parties.

Your right to withdraw your consent -  You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without providing an explanation. 

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.
